"Island Girl" Farmed Oysters Available in limited supply at this time.
Raised in the Patuxent River near Nan's Cove, our farm-raised oysters are grown in protective cages that keep them just off the river bottom, therefore NO GRIT. They have a mildly salty flavor with a hint of sweetness created by the river's vegetation. Typically, you will find that our farm-raised oysters are twice as fat as same size wild-harvested oyster.
Farm-raised oysters are sold YEAR-ROUND and shells are cleaned of mud prior to sale to eliminate the need for customers to do so before consumption.

Wild Harvested (Patuxent River and Chesapeake Bay) Oysters - October 1-March 31 (we will have them in stock until sold-out after final harvest day)
Wild oysters are 100% LOCAL and are harvested from the Patuxent River and surrounding areas and the Chesapeake Bay. They have a slightly saltier taste than our farm-raised oyster. Wild oysters are now available washed AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE.
